Launch your first band merch store
A practical checklist for independent bands and musicians: choose products, prepare artwork, set prices and launch online without buying stock.
1. Choose the range your fans will recognise
Start with a recognisable logo or original release design and a small range, such as a T-shirt and hoodie. Browse the catalogue for available products, colours and sizes. A focused range is easier to photograph, explain and promote than many unrelated designs.
2. Confirm artwork permissions and placement
Check that you can sell merchandise using the band name, logo, artwork and any photographs. Ask commissioned artists about merchandise rights. Choose front or front-and-back printing and check the applicable charge before submitting. Supply suitable files or ask for Design Help.
3. Apply, review and price your products

4. Share the approved store
After the store and products are approved and public, add the direct shop link to your website, social bio and mailing list. Tie the announcement to something meaningful, such as a release or gig, and explain that BowYEAH prints and dispatches the orders. Check links on a phone before sharing.
5. Treat gig stock as a separate order
For a venue merch table, order physical items in advance from your approved range and confirm timing with BowYEAH. Online print on demand does not guarantee stock for an event date. You can also display a QR code linking to the online store for fans who prefer delivery.
6. Learn from paid orders
Use sales and earnings in your seller dashboard to decide which designs to promote or expand. Customer orders trigger production; your job remains bringing fans to the range. Avoid promising sales or funding a release with earnings that have not yet arrived.
