Prepare front-and-back artwork for your merchandise

Check files, print placement, garment colours and proofs before submitting a front-and-back product to BowYEAH for approval.

Confirm the product and print positions

Start with the base product, garment colours and intended print locations. Decide whether the front is a small chest design or a larger graphic, and how the back should look. Ask BowYEAH to confirm suitable dimensions and print areas for the selected garment; pockets, seams and garment construction can affect placement.

Supply two clearly labelled artwork files

Keep front and back artwork in separate files, with names such as band-release-front and band-release-back. Upload each to its matching print-file field and select Front & back when submitting the product. Do not rely on a product mockup alone to communicate that two print positions are required.

Keep artwork separate from mockups

Print files contain the artwork to reproduce. Mockups show how the finished item should look and help reviewers understand placement. Avoid uploading a photograph of a shirt as the print artwork. Keep your original editable files and export according to the requirements agreed for that product; PDF artwork can be supplied through the print-file upload.

Check transparency, contrast and small details

Where you want the garment to show through, check whether the file has an unintended solid background. Review small lettering and fine lines at the intended print size, and compare the artwork against every selected garment colour. Ask about resolution and colour requirements instead of assuming one specification suits every item.

Review both sides and the charge

Before submitting, check that both files are attached and that the front and back have not been swapped. Review spelling, print placement, selected sizes and colours, and the charge for the chosen configuration. During proof review, check both sides separately. A screen preview is not a guarantee of an exact colour match on fabric.

Make changes before the product goes live

Describe any correction clearly, identifying the side and what should change. Supply the revised source artwork where needed and check the updated proof before approval. If an order has already been placed, contact BowYEAH before assuming a file change will alter that order.
